What Rockstar asked for last time
These are the official PC requirements for Rockstar's three most recent PC releases. They show where the bar sits today and how fast it has been rising. Is GTA 6 on PC at all yet? See the GTA 6 PC release date tracker.
GTA V Enhanced (PC, March 2025)
The newest one. This is GTA V rebuilt with the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades, so it is the closest official hint of what Rockstar expects from a current PC.

What the three lists show
- An SSD went from not mentioned to required with GTA V Enhanced in 2025.
- Recommended memory went from 8 GB to 12 GB to 16 GB.
- The recommended graphics card went from a GTX 660 to a GTX 1060 to an RTX 3060.
- The minimum operating system went from Windows Vista to Windows 10.
The hardware GTA 6 is built for
GTA 6 was made for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This is what those machines have inside. It tells you what the game is designed around, not what Rockstar will list for PC.

When will the official requirements come out?
Rockstar usually publishes PC requirements shortly before a PC launch. GTA V's arrived about three months before its PC release. Red Dead Redemption 2's came with the PC announcement, about one month before release. There is no GTA 6 PC date yet, so there is no requirements date either.
Questions people ask
Are the GTA 6 PC system requirements out?
No. As of September 30, 2026, Rockstar has not announced a PC version or published PC requirements.
Will my PC run GTA 6?
Nobody can say until Rockstar publishes requirements. The closest official reference is GTA V Enhanced from 2025, but GTA 6 is a newer and bigger game.
Will GTA 6 need an SSD on PC?
Not confirmed. Rockstar already requires an SSD for GTA V Enhanced, and both consoles GTA 6 is built for use SSD storage, but Rockstar has not said anything about GTA 6 on PC.
